Description

This new apprenticeship will support “Redbridge Quits Smoking”, the new Specialist Smoking Cessation Service for the London Borough of Redbridge.

We are seeking applicants who are interested and motivated to improve people’s physical health and wellbeing, by providing advice and support that will help them stop smoking.

As well as helping people who smoke to stop smoking, we would also encourage applications from people who are interested in supporting young people who vape.

During the 18-month apprenticeship you will have one day a week protected time to complete the NCSCT Level 2 training for smoking cessation advisors, and a Level 3 qualification. You will have further on-the-job training and plenty of opportunities to observe our experienced smoking cessation advisors deliver treatment to some of our specialist populations including maternity and mental health settings. If this apprenticeship interests you and you want to tell us more about why, we encourage you to apply or get in touch first to discuss the role. To meet the needs of our diverse and thriving communities in Redbridge we would be particularly interested to hear from applicants who can speak Lithuanian or Polish.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship would allow the candidate to be qualified and experienced enough to work as a smoking cessation advisor, and Via will support you to identify and apply for other work opportunities before the apprenticeship ends.
