Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship.
Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
North Tyneside Recovery Partnership is a all-age service for those living in North Tyneside requiring support for substance addiction, the service is delivered by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Waythrough since April 2025.The service has an office base in Wallsend but also has an outreach approach to enable ease of access for everyone who needs it.
The dedicated Young Persons team support children and young people aged up to 25 and they deliver harm reduction, structured psychosocial support including motivational work as well as supporting any clinical interventions that may need to be delivered by the clinical team.
The role will require the candidate to manage a caseload so good organisational skills are essential, as is a driving licence and access to a car as the role will require travel across the area.
The successful candidate will be compassionate and committed to helping young people, they will have good knowledge of the issues faced by young people who use substances as well a the interventions used to engage them.
