Description

1625 Outreach is no normal drug and alcohol service. It is an innovative and forward-thinking project, with a proven track record of effectively engaging young people and young adults.

Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction, we provide non-judgmental, fact-based, information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks. We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices, to keep themselves and their peers aware, safe, and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol.

Following service expansion 1625 is excited to be welcoming 2 new Targeted Intervention Coordinator roles to the service. Based in Derby City, you will be working directly with young people & young adults. Providing a range of 1:1 and group-based brief interventions, you will manage a small caseload as well as develop pathways for those who may have increased risk or vulnerability. Additionally, you will provide advice, information & guidance to professionals and parents, aimed at increasing awareness and confidence in supporting young people.

Due to the nature of the role’s strong community focus, both roles will have elements of co-located working, with one of the 2 posts being positioned within Derby College full time. With this in mind you will work collaboratively with partners across multiple sites, developing strong working relationships and being a single point of contact for referrals.
