Description
Local London is a partnership of nine London boroughs in the north east and south east of the capital.
We’re a champion for the sub-region to ensure it benefits from current and emerging opportunities.
Join us as part of an innovative programme that will help transform lives across 9 London boroughs
We are recruiting for a Team Leader and a team of two Peer Mentors with lived experience of recovery from drug and/or alcohol dependency to help others in recovery to move into employment.
As a Peer Mentor, you will use your lived experience of recovery to build trusted, non-judgemental relationships with residents facing multiple and complex challenges.
Through one-to-one support, you will help people build confidence, access services, achieve personal goals and take positive steps towards recovery, independence and employment.
Working alongside Jobcentre Plus, treatment providers, local authorities, health services and community organisations, you will play an important role in creating a joined-up support network that helps residents achieve lasting change.
This is a unique opportunity to use your experience to inspire others, while developing your own skills and career within an innovative programme that sits at the intersection of recovery, health and employment support.
This is a hybrid role combining working from home and Lynton House, Ilford with travel across the Local London sub-region.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape an innovative new programme from day one.
You'll be joining an ambitious and collaborative organisation with a strong track record of delivering successful employment and skills programmes across London.
