At Turning Point, we support people across the UK with substance use issues.
As a Housing Peer Support Worker we are looking for a new colleague with a passion to support individuals with substance use issues. Your role will be to work alongside Turning Point Recovery workers to support service users to access person centred support and navigate the different opportunities for support available to them across the treatment and housing system.
Housing Peer Support Workers act as ‘advocates, mentors and coaches’ to service users supporting them to succeed in their chosen goals around treatment.
They will be working with a caseload of service users to support them to sustain their accommodation/tenancies by providing practical support and guidance and to help and support their recovery and build their recovery capital.
of the role will also include working together with other Housing Workers and Floating Support Workers who will provide specialist housing support and advice to service users.
They will also provide the link between specialist substance misuse housing related support (e.g. Unity Housing, Floating Support Workers).
