We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and passionate team in North Devon as a Criminal Justice Support Worker.

This is an exciting opportunity to improve on options open to those people experiencing mental health issues, who are committing crimes and being presented to the Courts for sentencing in Exeter Magistrates Courts.

The positive impact in the areas we serve, will be reflected through a trialled and tested clinical performance framework, monitored by NHS England.

The post will work as an integral part of Together Drug and Alcohol service, providing support and targeted structured interventions, to people with substance misuse issues and mental health conditions.

The individuals accessing this service will be known to the criminal justice system and wider services and at increasing risk of becoming entrenched and incarcerated. This service will contribute to the safety of communities from crime, whilst simultaneously reducing the damage caused by substance misuse and not treating individual mental and psychological health issues.

The post will improve access to appropriate services for clients with low to medium mental health issues, by screening, assessing and supporting court based staff, including Probation.
