The Providence Projects, part of UK Addiction Treatment Group (UKAT), provides specialist residential treatment and support for people experiencing drug and alcohol addiction.

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who holds a Level four counselling qualification.

You will support clients throughout their recovery journey, helping them understand the underlying causes of addiction, develop effective coping strategies and build the confidence needed to achieve lasting change.

As a Counsellor, you will work closely with support workers and other members of the team to deliver safe, person-centred and recovery-focused support. Previous experience within addiction treatment or 12 step recovery would be advantageous, but we also welcome applications from candidates looking to develop their counselling career within a supportive clinical environment.

You will be required to participate in the on-call rota and medication administration.

The successful candidate will be required to complete appropriate pre-employment checks, including references, proof of right to work in the UK and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
