Description

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship.

Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent post as Assessment and Engagement Worker to work as part of a team to provide collaborative assessment and interventions to substance misusers (drug and alcohol) across all stages of recovery, from assessment and engagement through to sustained recovery.

In this vital role with Waythrough, you'll be the first point of contact for individuals accessing support, conducting comprehensive assessments, and engaging them in tailored interventions that promote long-term recovery.

You'll work closely with individuals, families, and partner agencies to ensure people receive the right support at the right time.

If you have a strong understanding of drugs and alcohol support, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to empowering others, we'd love to receive an application from you.

We have an office base in Wallsend, however we provide outreach across the borough to ensure our services are accessible to everyone who needs them.

There may be a requirement for you to provide outreach support occasionally and although a driving licence is not required for this role, it would be advantageous.

**Please note you do not need HMPPS clearance for this role**
