Join The Calico Group for a thought-provoking evening of short films and talks. We’ll be exploring the power of creativity in drug and alcohol recovery, featuring the premiere of Ed Edward’s short film ‘Umbilical’ featuring Eve Steele.

Contributors will include:

Lisa Ogilvie PhD, Author and Psychologist –  an introduction to ‘recovery protection’ and the myth about drugs and creativity

Nigel Clegg, Musician, Producer and Music Therapist – a short talk on music as a tool to unlock joy for overlooked groups

Tony Lord, Film-maker presents a preview of ‘In the Minds of Men’ a new documentary examining suicide as the biggest killer of males under 50 and calling for compassionate and creative solutions to the crisis in men’s mental health

Ed Edwards, Producer, Film-maker and Playwright presents the premiere of ‘Umbilical’, a film about addiction and motherhood. Plus, a selection of short films and readings from a lived-experienced film production programme
