Radical Social Work Approaches to Scotland's Drug & Alcohol IssuesRadical Social Work Approaches to Scotland's Drug & Alcohol Issues Online Scotland’s drugs and alcohol issues are regularly reported in the press as a national disgrace. However sensational headlines and stories rarely look at the issues that underlie trends, or focus on the people trying to make a difference at front line level. Our eleventh webinar hears from those at the cutting edge of experience: from the lived experience campaigner Peter Krykant whose efforts focus on those at the hard end of chronic drug problems, Kevin Owens a senior practitioner and social worker from North Lanarkshire, and Heather Still a researcher and practitioner from Inverclyde. Chaired by Kate Ramsden UNISON Aberdeenshire and union National Executive member, this hour long webinar will offer the opportunity for some reflection and discussion. 11:00 am: SHAAP Report launch: Alcohol management in Deep End practices11:00 am: SHAAP Report launch: Alcohol management in Deep End practices – Join SHAAP online on Wednesday 9 March from 11:00-12:00 GMT for the launch of a new University of Stirling, University of Dundee and SHAAP report: Alcohol management in Deep End practices. |
