Join our webinar to hear from Dr Philippa Case and her team about her recent systematic review, carried out in collaboration between the University of Hull and University of Kent. The review explored alcohol brief interventions for older adults experiencing cognitive decline.

The number of older at-risk drinkers experiencing cognitive decline is likely to increase as a consequence of an ageing population and increased prevalence of at-risk drinking among older adults. This is likely to have a significant impact upon the individual, their family and community, and health and care services.

The development of interventions to reduce alcohol in this population has the potential to prevent further cognitive decline and progression to dementia, as well as address the additional health issues associated with alcohol consumption at older ages.

This systematic review is the vital first step in developing such interventions.

This event is for public health professionals, researchers, healthcare workers, civil servants, NGOs, health agencies etc. If you or your organisation receives funding from the alcohol industry (alcohol producers, retailers, trade associations, Social Aspect Public Relations Organisations (SAPROs), & Business-Interest NGOs) please do not attend.
