This role will work within the Project Free which is a Lived Experience Recovery Project supporting men aged 25+ who are leaving prison and looking to establish positive recovery journeys in the recovery community. The project coordinator and two other parttime roles are based in Red Rose Recovery and there are several volunteers.

The role will entail supporting group work and community action projects in Bury, Oldham and other parts of Greater Manchester. The project has been very successful in engaging with men leaving prison and there are plan to expand the team to meet the wider demand on services.

We’re looking for a passionate Project Worker to join our dynamic team at Project Free within the Greater Manchester area. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of group delivery and supporting men within their recovery journey, helping to men straight from prison to engage with recovery support in the community to help reduce the chance of reoffending.

The role will entail supporting group work and community action projects in Bury, Oldham and other parts of Greater Manchester. The project has been very successful in engaging with men leaving prison and there are plans to expand the team to meet the wider demand on services.

This is an opportunity to get involved with a new and exciting lived experience initiative. The role will involve delivering group and supporting men leaving prisons to improve their recovery within the community.

The ideal candidate will be able to draw upon their own personal experience of the criminal justice system and substance misuse recovery and be able to demonstrate the positive impact of their own recovery journey.
