Stakeholder meeting: Next steps for Bristol as a harm reduction city

41 41 people viewed this event.

Timely discussion hosted by Transform in partnership with the University of Bristol on why Bristol needs an overdose prevention centre (OPC).

As drug-related deaths continue to rise – particularly those involving super-strength synthetic opioids – this event brings together local stakeholders to explore practical harm reduction responses.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Saket Priyadarshi, clinical lead at the Thistle OPC in Glasgow, sharing lessons from the UK’s first official overdose prevention centre
  • Meg Jones, Cranstoun, a leading organisation in harm reduction and support services
  • Adam Holland, clinical academic at the University of Bristol

We invite healthcare professionals, police, community leaders, policymakers, and residents to join us in shaping the next steps for Bristol. This is a unique opportunity to learn, collaborate, and contribute to building a healthier, more compassionate city.
