Naloxone: Use And Policy In These Islands
This British-Irish Council (BIC) webinar on naloxone use and policy will look at new UK legislation, examples of peer-to-peer practice, the use of technological approaches, and, further afield, the situation in Norway.
The BIC Drugs and Alcohol Work Sector gathers officials from the eight Member Administrations to consider policy approaches to meeting challenges related to drug and alcohol consumption. The BIC administrations have used various law enforcement and public health approaches to managing overdose treatment by naloxone.
This online workshop on 28 May 2025 will bring together officials and other stakeholders to review the use of naloxone in the public health response to synthetic opioids across these islands. This webinar follows on from the August 2024 BIC webinar on the prevalence and threat of synthetic opioids.
