Description
Join Waythrough, one of the UK’s leading mental health and social support charities, and make a lasting impact every day.
We support over 125,000 people each year through our 200 services, empowering individuals to overcome challenges around mental health, housing, and substance use.
North Tyneside Recovery Partnership (NTRP) is delivered by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS foundation trust and Waythrough as the Sub-Contractor since April 2025.
The service has an office base in the centre of Wallsend but we also have a strong outreach approach to meet the needs of service users, therefore, one of the key expectations for the role is flexibility to travel across the area
What You'll do:
- Facilitate drop in sessions at local schools to provide education around the risks of substances and engage them in recovery promoting activities.
- Work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary services to safeguard young people at risk
- Provide an outreach approach to support the most vulnerable service users
- Offer drug and alcohol support to young people up to the age of 25
- Manage a caseload of service users by co-producing 1-1 and group support with an aim of facilitating behaviour change
Waythrough is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and communities, especially those with lived experience of the issues we support.
