We are looking for a passionate and motivated Practitioner to work within the Young Person’s Service, Via: The Edge in West Berkshire.  The post is predominantly based in Newbury, but some travel across the County will be required.

The role will involve:

• To deliver age-appropriate excellent drug and alcohol services to young people and their significant others, including family members friends and carers, facilitating positive outcomes.
• Deliver early intervention and prevention work, in a variety of youth settings to prevent young people from engaging in substance misusing and risk-taking behaviours and enable young people to develop boundaries, emotional resilience and self-esteem.
• To work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholder across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all WDP policies and Safeguarding principles.
• To manage a case load and coordinate and deliver assessment and evidence-based interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning and aftercare planning.
• To work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholder across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all VIA policies and Safeguarding principles.
