Outreach Practitioner

Based within the core West Berkshire integrated Drug and Alcohol Service, this specialist practitioner role will lead on outreach provision to support greater access opportunities for under-served and hard to reach communities within the County .

The role will involve:

• Delivering excellent drug and alcohol services to clients and their significant others, including family members, friends and carers.
• Delivering prevention work in a variety of community settings to prevent people from engaging in substance misusing and risk-taking behaviours.
• Developing strong links with a wide range of community groups in order to encourage and promote access into services for hard to reach and under-served groups
• To work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholder across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all VIA policies and Safeguarding principles

The core hours of this role will be Monday- Friday 9am until 5pm, but there may be some occasional out of hours work which would be considered on a rota basis
