Humankind is a vibrant and growing charity with over 30 years' experience working with individuals, families and communities affected by health and social inequalities across the country with a focus on improving people’s wellbeing.
Humankind is one of England’s most successful home-grown charities. We have over 1,100 staff and around 100 volunteers providing services for over 20,000 people. Our specialist services include substance use, clinical, employment training and education, housing services, housing support and health, young people, and families’ services.
Crossroads Diversionary scheme is an exciting new service delivered by Humankind across North Yorkshire and York. The service is funded by the North Yorkshire Police Fire & Crime Commissioner, on the basis that female and male service users who are at risk of, or are within the criminal justice system require a bespoke service to respond appropriately to their needs.
The service delivers evidence-based, structured interventions to adult females and males, who are at risk of offending or have committed an offence. The post holder will work closely with North Yorkshire Police, Liaison and Diversion Services, Substance Misuse Services, Probation and other partner agencies.
