We are currently looking to build our recovery coordination teams, with a newly created opportunity within our Barnsley Recovery service for a Health and Wellbeing Nurse.
Our teams provide support for individuals who are experiencing problematic substance use. Our new role will ensure that we are able to provide specialist, tailored support to enable service users to make positive changes and give us the knowledge and resources to be able to reach and engage people with a range of needs within our communities.
As a Health & Wellbeing Nurse, you will work within our clinical team leading on wellbeing interventions, blood borne virus screening, health and wellbeing assessments, wound care, and other health initiatives. You will be working alongside our Recovery Co-ordinators to deliver harm reduction and recovery support on site and out in the community.
You will take a 'whole person' holistic approach, ensuring that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person.
Experience of working in the field is not essential however, candidates with transferable skills who can demonstrate empathy and understanding of the issues surrounding substance misuse are encouraged to apply.
